Thriving on Stress

I have to teach for 3 hours tomorrow. And it is always last minute preparation. I thrive on this stress.

Laptop

Collected the Laptop  with the replaced HDD. But there is a problem with the battery. I couldn’t find time to switch it on at home. The battery will cost Rs 3500. Visit to Monorail workshop at Wadala depot, arranged by IEI, was interesting but fell short of my expectations. We had to be content with views from the gallery. Rode on the monorail to Chembur. The line passes so close to the storage tanks of Bharat Petroleum Refinery. MRC meeting was boisterous and contentious. I opposed the seminar if it cannot break even.

New Course

First lecture of Project Management to PhD students, as part of the diploma course in Technology Management. Used my famous Filter Coffee example to introduce them to project objectives and scheduling. This should be a very enjoyable experience. Professor friend asked my opinion on whether he should forsake 30+ years of passion for teaching to move into administrative position. I asked him to listen only to his inner voice.
